What wheel size is best for an outdoor walker?
For an outdoor walker, wheels of 12–14″ (31–36 cm) give the best balance of comfort, manoeuvrability and stability — they roll over uneven pavements, gravel, grass and small obstacles far more easily than small, hard castors. Trionic offers three wheel sizes so you can match the walker to your terrain.
Trionic wheel sizes:
- Walker 9er — 9″ / 23 cm SuperSoft solid tyres: most compact and puncture-free, ideal for pavements and easy transport
- Walker 12er — 12″ / 31 cm pneumatic tyres: the everyday all-rounder for mixed terrain
- Walker 14er — 14″ / 36 cm pneumatic tyres: maximum roll-over for rough trails and forest paths
- Trionic Veloped — three wheels with large pneumatic tyres and a patented Climbing Wheel for true off-road terrain
