What tire pressure should my Trionic rollator have?

Conventional rollators have rock-hard solid tyres that offer nothing in the way of comfort when you are walking on cobblestones, gravel and uneven ground. Many rollator users are forced to plague themselves to get to the supermarket, and the use of a rollator frequently causes severe pain in the hands, elbows and shoulders.

Trionic Velopeds and Walkers are all equipped with air-pressured tyres (except Walker 9er)
Air-pressured tyres have several advantages; they offer you a soft and plush ride and unbeatable comfort. As they do not cause vibration like solid tyres, you are less prone to suffer pain and discomfort in your hands, elbows, and shoulders when you walk on uneven ground.

Our Trionic X-Country tyres are not puncture-free, they are puncture-protected, and there is a big difference. To secure your tyres the best, the user must keep track of the tyre pressure to keep the tyres healthy and air-filled to get as good comfort as possible.

We recommend a tyre pressure of 1.5 bar (21.7 psi) as we have noticed fewer vibrations, and the protection works the best, which minimizes the Veloped's or Walker's bouncing on uneven ground.

How to keep track of the pressure?
We recommend checking the pressure every second/third week to maintain good comfort.

Go somewhere (maybe a local petrol station) and get the exact amount of air in, then squeeze the tyre a few times for the next couple of hours to get a feel for how stiff it needs to be. Then you can use your pump at home and get good tyre pressure.

This picture demonstrates what happens when you have the wrong tyre pressure.

The left image is correct and shows that the puncture protection will work a lot better than the right picture, where you have a more significant risk of getting a puncture. On the right image, it might be enough to hit a sharp stone or something else on the tyre side and then you might get a flat tyre.

  • PERFECT…

Perfect, because you can walk upright and avoid walking with a bent back. The back improves the more you walk.
A tip: When folding the Veloped, there should be a latch that keeps the frame locked in a folded state.

  • This review is totally voluntary!…

I am 75 years old and I suffer from osteoarthritis, diabetes, and a heart issue. About six months ago, my wife and I decided to purchase a rollator from a well-known UK company. It was large and sturdy in design and I started using it and yes, it did…

  • Extremely satisfied…

    Hello,
My mum has been using the walker for some time now and she is very satisfied. The only drawback is that there is no clamp or hook to keep the rollator folded up tightly. This would be useful, for example, as a kind of hook that holds the two …

  • Excellent bit of kit…

Excellent. From my previous average 20m range, the world has now expanded so much that I was able to take my youngest round the dinosaur museum (him sitting on the seat, facing forward, when he got tired).

I really cannot thank you enough.…
