Hello! How can we help you?

What if I have trouble making turns and steering my Veloped?

The front climbing wheel offers two different settings with different characteristics:

  1. One wheel on the ground = Easy steering and climbing ability.
  2. Two wheels on the ground = Direction-steadiness (for running/very difficult terrain) and climbing ability.

Setting 'B' makes the Veloped difficult to turn.

If you prefer the easy steering mode, you can use the setting with only one wheel on the ground for all types of terrain.

Most certainly you have changed the setting and both front wheels are standing on the ground. Change the setting and make sure that the climbing wheel is set to easy steering mode.

It is vital that you do as follows to change to the easy steering mode:

  1. Turn the front wheel 180 degrees, so you have easier access to the adjustment handle.
  2. With your left hand, grab the left wheel and lift it off the ground.
  3. With your right hand, grab the red knob and pull it towards you.
  4. Push the 'triangular' adjustment arm as far to the bottom as possible. You should hear a 'clonk', metal against metal.
  5. Let go of the red knob and make sure that the adjustment arm is secured in its bottom position.
  6. There should be a gap of 1.5 cm between the first wheel (left) and the ground.

Here's a video showing the above:

If you do not lift the left wheel when changing the setting, the adjuster arm will not engage and both wheels remain on the ground.
