Rollator with e-DriveTrionic from Sweden, the company that developed the Veloped, now takes further steps into the future of outdoor walkers and rollators. With iHomeLab at the Lucerne University in Switzerland and 6 further partners, Trionic will add an e-Drive to the Veloped. The e-Drive will offer power assistance when walking, so the user does not need to push the Veloped. An electric motor drives the Veloped so that the user can overcome climbs and obstacles simply and effortlessly.

In addition, new technology will be added so that the Veloped user can navigate both outdoors and indoors, and he/she can also communicate with other people. By the use of smartphones and/or tablet-PC, a range of services that address different outdoor activities will be offered.

The iWalkActive project will heavily rely on the involvement of end users, so that the requirements and wishes of the user are met. As a conventional rollator is very limited when walking on uneven ground, the new Veloped walker with its e-Drive will greatly improve mobility and quality of life.

  • Very good choice for a disabled girl, almost 9 years old...!…

We bought the Trionic Veloped to our daughter. She is nine years old this summer so Veloped is not really suited for her size yet. But, we still think it works very well in terrain and that was exactly what we were searching, for such a long time!
